About Jim

Jim Shulman is the leader that Nashville needs to continue to build a consensus on the Metro Council. For over 35 years, Jim has been an invested member of our community, serving on boards of numerous organizations and being honored for his services.

As Vice Mayor, Jim has opened the lines of communication between the public and the council. Jim’s top priority has been to make sure that the council is connected to the community and that the community is well-informed.

He has used his experience as Executive Director of the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability, his work as a metro council member at-large, and a former small business owner to help guide the council toward consensus on the tough issues facing Nashville.
